To find what percent one number (A) is of another number (B), divide the part (A) by the whole (B) and multiply the result by 100. This is standard division converted to a percentage format.

What percent of 50 is 10?
- Divide: 10 ÷ 50 = 0.20
- Multiply: 0.20 × 100 = 20%
